ENROLLING NEW AND TRANSFER STUDENTS

Ensure your child's music program is the one that makes the most of his potential.

Grow Musical, Grow Well

Why enroll your child?

Music is a the best way to build a child’s creativity, critical thinking skills and confidence! It also helps you establish an after school routine with friends and mentors.   The YACM program cleverly connects your child with best performing arts education in Solano

Why YACM?

To fulfill your expectations. YACM was founded to bring the highest level of musical development to Solano kids. In 2005 YACM became a non-profit organization so through grants, contributions, in-kind donations and volunteer support, families could afford to unlock their child's potential without driving to San Francisco or Sacramento.

How does it work?

Because YACM is a comprehensive, after-school, pre-professional conservatory of music, we attract formally trained Teaching Artists who have the education, experience and expertise to develop authentic musicianship in your child. Through a combination of private lessons, group classes, structured learning, and frequent performances, your child can be transformed into a confident, resilient, and imaginative artist.

"Little Arts" for 4 -5 year olds is a private lesson program that jump-starts your child's learning.  We access his natural musicianship when it is most "spongeable".

"CORE-Arts" for ages 6 and up fully integrates them into a developmentally rich program of private lessons, enrichment classes, performances and structured lessons.

Transfer students are typically looking for more challenge in their learning.  Your Trial Lesson will be a good opportunity to understand your current skills and be introduced to the changes that need to be developed so you can reach your potential.

What is Classical Training?

Classical training refers less to the genre of music and more to the educational approach. Unlike "method teachers" or gimmicky fads and franchises, we hold your child's attention because he becomes an independent empowered music learner. Classical training teaches your child to read and understand music, perform solo's with security and ensembles with precision. Being classically trained means his technique is developed as the main engine of his capacity to express himself with music. Being classically trained means your child can play or sing classical, jazz, Contemporary,  POP, and Rock.

Classically trained musicians learn to play or sing whatever they want, not only what their teacher can teach them
