We provide a setting and resources for music instructors to teach and perform.  We invite experienced Teaching Artists and rising teaching interns to collaborate in a comprehensive conservatory setting.  

Acting Director and Cello Instructor Wanted

Acting Director

​

Solano Youth Theatre, a division of Young Artists Conservatory of Music has a contract position for an Acting or Stage Director in the upcoming production of GODSPELL. This is a contract position for a Teaching Artists who enjoys working with children and youth. Drama and musical experience in both performance and instruction is required. Promising applicants will have a strong understanding of how the positive effects of theatrical experiences are important in the development of creativity, resilience, empathy and confidence in the life of a young person. 

 

Young Artists Conservatory of Music (YACM) is a non-profit organization founded on the conviction that the arts provide the greatest opportunity for human development and social cohesion.  During this pandemic, we are committed to safeguarding the physical and emotional  health of young people by promoting ongoing development for the positive effects of continued engagement in the arts. YACM will offer small in-person workshops and remote on-line learning.

Cello Instructor

 

Our Teaching Artists are highly relational classically trained artists who possess the education and expertise necessary to motivate practice and develop beginners, transfer students, and advance pre-professional musicians.  YACM Teaching Artists are invited as program collaborators who wish to utilize YACM facilities, program structure, and marketing reach as Solano’s foremost arts education organization.  

 

No minimum number of students are guaranteed.  All lessons and classes provided at YACM are for YACM enrolled students.  All Teaching Artists must provide a clear Live Scan at their own expense.  Rates of pay from $40 per hour for qualified applicant.

 

Qualified applicants possess the training, experience, and superior relational skills indicative of an instructor who can achieve impactful musical development in children and youth.   Please send your resume’ and cover letter to the Executive Director at  wcook@youngartistsconservatory.org
