GODSPELL, 2012 version has updated musical numbers and more modern cultural references. This 12 lead cast is joined by opening solo parts and a sing and dance ensemble ensemble This musical is for Teens ages 12 - 18. Save $50 Registration Fee if you enroll by August 30. All those enrolled are automatically in the ensemble. Lead roles will be determined by audition. Rehearsals are mandatory. Tech week is mandatory. Performance is mandatory. Performance is Nov 12 - 13 at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theater. Rehearsals are expected to be in Vacaville. Rehearsal site is TBD. Shorty Synopsis At the behest of John the Baptist (David Haskell), young men and women forsake their jobs and take up the mantle of Jesus Christ (Victor Garber) -- becoming his disciples -- in a musical retelling of the Gospel of Matthew set in modern-day New York City. Using song and dance, the apostles traverse the city, spreading Christ's message of love and tolerance as the time moves ever closer to his betrayal at the hands of Judas (also played by David Haskell) and, ultimately, his crucifixion.
