Disney's Beauty and the Beast Live at The Vacaville Performing Arts Theater
The Young Artists Conservatory of Music (YACM) announces a live performance of Disney's Beauty and the Beast on January 16-17 at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theater. “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” by the Solano Youth Theater (SYT) is produced by the Young Artists Conservatory of Music.
The cast includes a total of 32 local children and youth who have invested 14 weeks in rehearsal time. Audiences can expect to experience the thrill of high quality production made known to Solano County by the 14-year legacy of SYT’s standard of excellence for the arts.
Twelve-year old Catie Whittet plays the role of Belle, the village girl finding her way to a castle whose enchanted residents hope she can break the magic spell. Miss Whittet has studied voice for three years at the Solano Music Conservatory, a division of YACM. She was selected as a Premier Performer in 2014 for an event celebrating excellence in the performing arts.
The Beast, played by Jeremy Bentley – age 17, is a cruel prince who has been transformed into the image of his selfish heart. Nick Ware – age 14, plays Gaston, a hapless villager whose good looks and natural talent is undermined by his arrogant self-centered ways.
Performances are at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, and at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17. For tickets, call the Vacaville Performing Arts Theater at (707) 469-4013.
