Our Teaching Artists are highly relational classically trained artists who possess the education and expertise necessary to motivate practice and develop beginners, transfer students, and advance pre-professional musicians. YACM Teaching Artists are invited as program collaborators who wish to utilize YACM facilities, program structure, and marketing reach as Solano’s foremost arts education organization.
Teaching at Young Artists Conservatory of Music is like stepping into a world where everyone imagines the best they can be and works their hardest to achieve their best. Student members feel connected to each other and make friends. Enrichment and elective classes integrate the private lesson experience, and exceptional performance experiences motivate and inspire. Our environment is a unique opportunity for families who are serious about the musical and expressive development of their children. Successful instructors are serious musicians, highly relational, excellent communicators, and provide the guidance needed to empower a young person to achieve their potential.
No minimum number of students are guaranteed. All lessons and classes provided at YACM are for YACM enrolled students. All Teaching Artists must provide a clear Live Scan at their own expense. Rates of pay from $25 / hr and up DOQ.
Preferred applicants want to grow a studio of 15 or or more students, can teach after school and / or on weekends and are looking for a long-term commitment. A conservatory type education is preferred, however those with excellent skills, an ability to teach and a desire to work with a team of expert teaching artists should apply.
