Bach Comes to YACM

Our Teaching Artist, Isaac Pastor-Chermak, spent last summer mastering all silx Bach's monumental six suites for solo cello.

This is the the biggest and most challenging music written for the instrument.

He performed all six suites in one sitting in a concert at Davis. This is the musical equivalent of running an ultra-marathon!

Mr. Pastor-Chermak recorded the first three Suites in two evenings, in a recording session at the San Francisco Conservatory in July.

He is in the process of producing a CD of the Bach Suites.

He shared with his YACM family a taste of what is to come.
