Top Ranking Student Musicians Chosen to Represent Conservatory at

Ten-Year Anniversary Event

Featred Soloists Presented at YACM, Live Music Mixer!

Young Artists Conservatory of Music (YACM) announces the 2015 Featured Soloists to perform at our 10th Anniversary Premier Performers Gala Concert on June 14, 2015 at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre. YACM will present this year’s Featured Soloists at our upcoming Live Music Wine and Cheese Mixer on Monday, March 23rd @ 5:30 p.m. Performing Arts enthusiasts are invited to join us at 500 Davis St. Vacaville to meet these talented youth. YACM’s own Teaching Artist and cellist, Isaac Pastor- Chermak, will perform live music.

Each year, YACM examines our most accomplished musicians and vocalists in search of those who have achieved the highest expression of musicianship. Our standard for this recognition is regarded as the highest objective distinction within each conservatory school. We are proud to name a rare total of four youth who have distinguished themselves as this year’s Featured Soloists to represent YACM’s standard of excellence in music education.

Madison Brown (16), Vocalist, Performing Quando Men Vo (La Boheme) by Puccini

Madison will compete in the upcoming Omega Talent Hunt, March 28th

School of Strings

Avalon Cook (17), Violinist – Concerto for Violin No. 1 in A minor by Bach

Avalon Cook performed with Napa Youth Symphony in Carnegie Hall June 2014.

Avalon is the 2015 $2,000.00 recipient of the VacaArts Council visual and performing arts award.

School of Piano

Benjamin Mendiola, (16) - Pianist Rhapsody in Blue by G. Gershwin

Performed as Principal pianist in Will C. Wood’s musical production of Aida.

Earned 2nd place in Solano Symphony’s Young Artists Competition, 2014.

Allie Knitter (17), Pianist – Piano Concerto No. 1 G minor by Mendelssohn (accompanied YACM community special event symphony)
