Gratitude for the YACM Auxliary
The YACM Auxiliary is a team of parents and community volunteers committed to instilling the habits and disciplines of excellence in YACM children and youth.
Our recent concert at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theater (December 16) was accompanied by a beautifully elegant Gala hosted by the Auxiliary. The purpose of the Gala was to celebrate the hard work of the YACM Community!
Chitra Shankar heads this team. Ms. Shankar does not have a child enrolled at YACM. She is a member of the community who simply believes in the YACM mission. She wants to see children flourish as they master the habits and disciplines of excellence in the performing arts.

Chitra - Having your focused leadership on the event was an asset! You brought an outside perspective to the Auxiliary and were very effective in ensuring the Holiday Harmonies responsibilities for decorating, auction items and gift baskets and catering were managed and on time! We appreciate your time and the help you provided! You also did an outstanding job in securing donations from local businesses!! With all the donations we had an amazing selection of silent auction and raffle items!
Jolene - You were the perfect partner helping me with the logistics for getting the gift baskets prepped and ready for the Gala. Without you stepping up, the gift baskets would not have been as wonderful as they were! Thank you for taking on the additional responsibility, as I know you were also helping with other responsibilities like set up and clean up.
Victoria - You had many great ideas that helped shaped the gift basket process and I appreciate that you helped with creating the wine baskets! This was all in addition to the responsibility of decorating! The decorations were perfect for the event and stage! Additionally, please thank your sister for her help at the Gala. It is really appreciated to have the extra help!
Dasha - You also had many great ideas that helped to shape the gift basket process and I appreciate that you also helped to prep many baskets for the event! I also appreciate you helping at the raffle table! It was a great success and I appreciate all that you did to help with that effort.
Laura - You also were very helpful with offering great ideas for the performance and Gala. I also appreciate that you were one of the first people to offer to make a basket! That was the kind of good vibe we needed because shortly thereafter many community donations started coming in! You helped fill gaps as needed, such as getting the cups for the gala. Thank you for serving at the host for the Gala.
We invite YACM parents to express their gratitude for these members of the Auxiliary. They are creating value for the YACM Community. We are diminished without their commitment. With their commitment, we are empowered.
