Welcome Mica Phan: Arts Coordinator

We are pleased to announce that Mica Phan has accespted the position of Arts Coordinator here, replacing Dustin Houle who is relocating to Portland.

Mica is a violinist from Davis, California. She holds an Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Sacramento State University, studying with Anna Presler. She has a minor degree in Communication Studies.

During her time at CSUS, she performed with the CSUS Symphony Orchestra and earned a scholarship and a solo performance with the baroque ensemble Camerata Capistrano.

She was also a violin teacher apprentice for String Project. Mica developed a keen appreciation for chamber music, leading to participation in summer festivals and workshops such as Vianden International Music Festival and CalCap Chamber Workshop. Mica passionately believes that the personal and shared experience of music can positively enrich human development. She coaches young chamber groups, aside from freelancing in chamber, orchestral, and recording opportunities.

Mica's hobbies include hiking, making crafts, and traveling.
